I was looking at an infographic on how people in US were losing productivity online. Most of them were wasting their time at work checking their Facebook. And the time spent is an average of 55 minutes per person. Significant number!
It is not only Facebook being a culprit. I must admit, for professionals doing online research, advertising, etc, they are very much prone to distractions. Just look at Google Search results. Everyone is making their ads, and titles and descriptions so enticing to click. So, distractions are getting stronger and stronger.
As for me, today, November 7, shall be the first day, I will try to fight these distractions. No more wandering around, losing time to things that are not my priority. My strategy: Strong daily goals to fight the strong distractions.
